Project Description
Sandhills Global Publishing contracted with The QuestCom Group to renovate their west coast datacenter in Scottsdale, Arizona. The renovation included the demolition of the existing APC NetShelter POD and install a new NetShelter POD next to the existing footprint in the Datacenter. The project design was an N+1 and included (2) APC 150kva UPS systems to provide a new A and B power system for the APC POD. The new POD required 6 new In Row Cooling units as well. The project required QuestCom to phase the project for the IRC replacement since the new roof top mounted condensers had to be replaced one at a time to reuse the same roof top platforms. Additionally, part of the existing POD required partial removal in order to place the new POD in the desired location. The project only allowed one Electrical cutover and shutting down of the datacenter for the installation of new SES switches and feeder connections to the new equipment. The project was successfully completed while the datacenter remained stable and operational during the construction phases.
